Who is this retreat for?
Women navigating midlife and menopause, particularly those in leadership, executive, management or demanding professional roles.
Whether you're experiencing changes in your confidence, energy or functioning, balancing competing responsibilities or considering how to sustain your career, this retreat offers education, reflection and practical resources.
You don't need to be experiencing significant symptoms to attend.
What makes our retreats different?
Your space, your choice.
Enjoy group activities, individual reflection or time alone. Participation in optional activities is always your decision.
Education meets practical application.
Understand menopause and consider how that knowledge relates to your circumstances.
Time to integrate.
Rather than another overwhelming list of things to do, you'll have space to identify realistic adjustments that may work for you.
Rest is an integral part of the programme.
Not something squeezed between activities. You'll have opportunities to practise slowing down and notice what works for you.
Supporting your career.
Explore workplace adjustments, professional expectations, leadership responsibilities and ways to communicate your needs.
Your Seven-Day Retreat
The programme combines education, guided reflection, relaxation, movement, individual sessions and personal time. Activities may vary depending on the venue, weather and group requirements.
Day 1 — Arriving and making space
Stepping away from everyday demands
Arrive by approximately 3 pm, settle into your accommodation and explore the surroundings.
We'll begin with guided relaxation, followed by introductions, orientation and a discussion of privacy, participation and respectful boundaries.
The evening concludes with a shared welcome dinner.
Day 2 — Sensing yourself
Understanding who you are and what you need
Following morning relaxation and breakfast, we'll explore your values, expectations, responsibilities and how you're currently functioning.
Through guided exercises, you'll consider the demands on your energy and attention, your professional identity, patterns of self-criticism and where existing approaches may no longer be sustainable.
Your first individual session
A 30-minute meeting with Amberley or Nicole to explore what you've discovered, identify priorities and establish goals and intentions for the retreat and beyond.
The afternoon includes personal time, followed by evening relaxation.
Day 3 — Menopause, the brain and mental wellbeing
Understanding changes that may affect life and work
Explore perimenopause, menopause, symptoms, treatment and support options.
We'll examine research into cognitive changes, brain function, sleep, mental wellbeing and the possible effects on confidence, concentration and professional responsibilities.
We'll also consider how trauma, expectations, workplace pressures and the subtle injuries of influence may interact with menopause experiences.
Nutrition, physical activity and general health considerations will also be discussed.
The afternoon includes reflection, optional movement and relaxation.
Day 4 — Resting and reconnecting
Exploring what works for you
Experience different approaches to relaxation, including meditation, body-awareness exercises, progressive muscle relaxation and gentle movement.
Consider how these approaches might fit into everyday life, particularly when managing demanding work and personal responsibilities.
Your second individual session
A 30-minute opportunity to revisit your intentions, reflect on what you've learnt and explore adjustments you may wish to consider.
The afternoon includes personal time and evening relaxation.
Day 5 — Navigating work, leadership and change
Supporting your wellbeing and professional future
Explore how menopause may interact with workplace demands, leadership responsibilities, professional confidence and career aspirations.
We'll consider practical workplace adjustments, organisational responsibilities and available support.
Having conversations that lead to support
Learn approaches to discussing your needs with managers, HR or colleagues, including:
Identifying what support you may need.
Deciding what personal information to disclose.
Communicating workplace difficulties and possible adjustments.
Navigating concerns about stigma, reputation and career progression.
Knowing where to seek additional advice or support.
We'll also explore boundaries, competing responsibilities and practical adjustments beyond the workplace.
The afternoon includes individual reflection, optional movement and relaxation.
Women shouldn't have to carry the responsibility for making an unsuitable workplace suitable on their own.
Day 6 — Rest, reflection and integration
Taking what you've learnt into everyday life
Today is deliberately less structured, allowing time to rest, enjoy the facilities or revisit exercises.
Your final individual session
A 30-minute meeting to review your intentions and consider practical next steps, including personal adjustments, workplace support, professional conversations and potential obstacles.
Later, we'll come together to reflect on the week, revisit relaxation exercises and consider how to approach returning to everyday responsibilities.
The day concludes with evening relaxation and a shared farewell dinner.
Day 7 — Departure
A final opportunity to pause
Our final morning begins with guided relaxation and a shared breakfast.
There are no additional workshops. Just time to prepare for departure and consider what you may wish to take forward.
Because supporting yourself isn't something you complete in a week. It's something you can continue learning and practising throughout life.
